【双语直播】FreedomPop:抱着壮志雄心的虚商只有20%才能存活

7月9日,由DVBCN&AsiaOTT与Informa、长城会联合主办的2015虚拟运营峰会在北京隆重召开。会上,FreedomPop欧洲首席执行官Nicholas Constanopoulos作了题为“进军移动市场新途径”的演讲。

In 9th July, the 2015 MVNO Summit was held by DVBCN&AsiaOTT, Informa and Great Wall Club in Beijing. During the summit, Nicholas Constantinopoulos, the CEO- Europe of FreedomPop made speech entitiled  “A New Approach to the Mobile Market”

据Nicholas介绍,  FreedomPop几年之前已经在全球5个国家有了一定的覆盖,年收入达到了15亿欧元。

According to Nicholas’s introduction,  FreedomPop has built a certain scale of business service in 5 countries for several years. And the annual income could reach € 1.5 billion. 

 

演讲的开始,Nicholas给大家展示了FreedomPop在过去十年全球分支的发展过程情况。

At the beginning of the speech, Nicholas showed the development and satus of FreedomPop global brances in the last 10 years.

 

Nicolas用一幅形象的图片表示,目前全世界的虚商都是雄心勃勃的开始,但是有80%的虚商最终以失败而告终。只有20%经过不断的创新才会成功,最终成为“现金牛”。

At present, all MVNOs start with the best ambitions. Four out of five will ultimately fail to meet meet expectations. The few ones that make it will have to constantly innovate to remain successful.

 

Nicholas表示,在这些成功的经验当中很大一部分能创造更多的财富,核心就是有创新的能力,如果不能够创新的话、很快就丧失掉市场份额,而最终利润也会下降。所以说在这个过程当中,需要不断地去努力,这样才能不断地为市场创造价值。Nicholas还表示,没有成功的虚商准则能够可以被复制并适用于每一个市场。每一个市场都有它自己独有的成功案例。只有极少数的虚商才能成功的在国际市场站住脚。

Nicholas expressed, most of these experience and knowledge could make more fortune.The key is innovation. MVNOs must innovate continuely to create value for the market. And Nicholas said:” There is no a “success MVNO” formula that can be copied for each market. Every market has its own “success cases”. Very few experienced players expland both internationally&successfully.

 

在第一幅图中,一个虚商的的收相当于其他所有虚商的。第二幅图显示,几乎四分之一的虚商的收入相当于其他四分之三的收入。第三幅图告诉我们,本民族的虚商收入领先,其次是零售和电信的。多数的虚商都只在本国开展业务,成功的虚商往往倾向于成为一个国际型虚商,从而获得跨国运营的经验。

In the 1st picture, only one MVNO delivers as much revenue as all other MVNOs together.In the 3rd picture, ethnic MVNOs result as leading revenue generators, followed by the retail and telco ones. In the second picture, almost a quarter of MVNOs provides for three quarters of revenues delivered by sum of all MVNOs. While the majority of MVNOs are national players, the successful ones tend being International players that have a multinational MVNO experience.

 

这个图展示了三种类型的市场,并且它们都是欧洲的市场。这个结果是很有意思的,我们可以看到在第一个市场当中他们的收入非常的高,也就是说它的利润非常好。那么第一种占到10%,第二种是15%,这个市场实际上就非常多的虚商。市场越大、虚商就越多。

This picture shows 3 different kinds of market and they are all European market. The result is very interesting, we coud see the revenue is very high in the first market. It means MVNOs could gain good profit. In the following  picture, we could find more MVNOs. There would be more MVNOs,If the market is growing bigger.
